村田タマ写真展「おもちゃ箱」10月10日～19日
いつもの童話や物語をイメージした作品とは違い、ポップでキュートな村田タマワールドの展示。
楽しげな空間でありながら、どこか悩ましい表情の写真が多いのは、カメラを通じて己と向き合う「苦悩」があるからだ。生きること、生み出すことの喜びと辛さを抱き、カラフルな世界に村田タマがどろどろと溶け込んでいく。
涙とともに溶けた海の底には、いつも「希望」があるからだ。(文/村田タマ)
Unlike the fable and fairy tale images of her past works, this exhibition will show the works of the poppy and cute Tama Murata.
While so many of the pictures portray an otherwise pleasant setting, one cannot help but notice the subtle expressions of melancholy. This is because the artist uses the camera to confront her own anguish. Embracing the pleasure and pains of living and creating, Tama Murata melts away into a viscous world of color.
With so many tears, she melts down to the bottom of the sea where there is always hope.
