アトリエサードより刊行される写真集『リボンと拘束』の出版を記念し、同書に収められた作品群を中心に展覧いたします。村田兼一の写真は、静寂と妖しさ、光と影、生命と死の気配が交錯する、揺らぎと緊張の美を独自の視座で描き出してきました。その世界観の深層に流れる詩情を象徴するように、以下の言葉が静かに寄り添います。
冬戯れた朝霧に黒薔薇咲き乱れ
光を失った庭に花だけが呼吸をしている
凍えた風が通るたび花弁が震え
血の香りがかすかに流れる
その匂いに酔う者は春より先に死を知る

To celebrate the publication of the photobook Ribbon & Bondage by Atelier Third, this exhibition presents a selection of works featured in the book.
Murata’s photography unveils a world where stillness and seduction,light and shadow, life and death quietly intertwine—a realm shaped by subtle tension and elusive beauty. In resonance with the poetic undercurrents of his vision,the following lines rest alongside the exhibition:
Upon a winter’s wistful morning mist, black roses bloom and breathe.
Within a garden lost to light, the flowers dream beneath.
Each time the frozen wind slips through, their trembling petals sigh,
and in that breath a crimson scent ascends the silent sky.
Those who yield to breathe in that scent so deeply sweet
shall at that moment taste of death before the spring’s first heat.
